Southwest Technical College (SWTC) selected Interact Communications to work with them to develop a strategy and the collateral materials for an April 1st 2008 referendum to raise $31.9M for new buildings and building improvements.
A strategy was agreed that included the development of all the collateral materials required on a week by week basis. It was decided to produce a 5 minute video, a TV ad, a radio ad, a tri-fold, a bi-fold, postcards, information sheets and flyers. Interact also conducted on-campus research with a faculty and staff motivation session. Interact also hosted weekly consulting sessions with key SWTC staff.
Research conducted during the campaign indicated a minimum of 52% YES votes. The published figures as of April 3rd are that the SWTC referendum passed with a margin of 59% YES to 41% NO.
