Interact Communications is a successful company providing marketing, web, media, video, and research services to colleges nationwide. Our team is expanding (again), so we're looking for a web developer who is passionate about their work, and can work in a team environment. You will report to the VP. of Web Development and work closely with the graphics design team to design and develop creative code solutions for our college clients.

This position requires strong knowledge of interface design, information architecture, usability, and designing for content-heavy sites. Must be able to multitask and work quickly, efficiently, and meticulously, both in a team environment and independently. Must have significant experience with XHTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript, or PHP. Of course, you’re the type of developer that cares about creating the best user experience possible.

Prerequisites include expertise in W3C standards for XHTML and CSS2. Photoshop. Candidate should have 4-6 years experience designing and developing web sites; portfolio required. A BS degree and/or industry experience required.

Pluses: Ruby, Perl, Visual Studio, .NET, Mac OS X, UNIX or Linux, MySQL databases, and developing for CMS systems. ADA 508 compliance, Usability, knowledge of "graceful degradation", the DOM, and RSS feed authoring.

Research Product Coordinator

Interact Communications is is looking for Research Product Coordinator who is a qualitative and quantitative researcher and can do the work, manage projects, and travel when necessary.  This is not a job for a back-room, introverted researcher.  This position includes designing, coordinating, and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.  Also necessary is providing analysis of data findings, preparing reports, and finalizing materials for senior researchers and clients.  This position includes working with other research product coordinators, and acts as a member of the research team.

Job responsibilities include:

•    Coordination and implementation of multiple research projects
•    Preparation and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data for review and interpretation by Senior Researchers
•    Writing reports based on research findings
•    Facilitation of focus groups and training new focus group facilitators as needed
•    Travel as needed to assist in research contract elements, project kick-offs, and final presentations
•    The ability to manage multiple research products, review them for financial and service effectiveness, and to implement improvements
•    Ability to work in a team environment

Required support:

•    Scheduling and preparing Senior Researcher for research based meetings internally and with clients.
•    Working with all Interact staff to develop systems for performing tasks and projects in order to deliver services on-time and on-budget
•    Attending Project Meetings as a representative from the Research Department

Preferred experience:

•    Academic training and/or experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

General Manager

Interact Communications, Inc. is a leader in community college branding and marketing. The company’s research-based recommendations provide colleges with informed decisions on image and recruitment campaigns, web design, media preferences, and successful referendum management.

Interact is seeking a General Manager who will lead the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced marketing and advertising agency through systems development and resource allocation.  Responsibilities include fiscal and growth planning, budgeting, hiring and leadership of the managerial team.  Additional responsibilities include systems development, measurement, and communication of key performance indicators to the senior leaders and board. The GM will work with managers to attain their performance goals while at the same time nurturing a fun and creative work environment.

Skills required include the ability to organize complex projects and relationships, team leadership, conflict resolution, time management, financial forecasting, and human resource management.  The GM must be able to manage teams involved in the research, development and deployment of new media in a creative environment. Under the leadership of the CEO, the GM will recommend policies and practices to focus the direction to be taken by the company.   

This is a fast paced environment, more like a newsroom with many milestones and deadlines that must be met. The GM must maintain customer contact and goodwill, negotiating with vendors and customers when necessary on product quality, service, payments, etc.   

Qualifications:

1.     Minimum 3-5 years of management or leadership experience in a knowledge-based business environment preferably for a company with annual revenues of $2-4 million.

2.     BA Marketing, Business, or Operations.  Master’s degree preferred.

3.     Able to travel on short notice (5-7 days/month).
