- Pierce Community College District 11 is located in Pierce County, Washington, approximately thirty miles south of Seattle. Pierce has colleges in Lakewood and Puyallup about ten miles south and east of Tacoma, respectively. 25,167 students were served during the 2006-2007 academic year. Interact did qualitative and quantitative research into internal and external attitudes and opinions about Pierce College, and developed recommendations to improve the college’s recruitment & retention efforts, set up an Advancement Model, and to improve internal communications.
